Supporting IIMC Alumni Through Care & Solidarity

The IIMCAA Care Fund is a trust established by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication Alumni Association (IIMCAA) to support its alumni and contribute to society. Operating as an independent body, the Fund’s primary objective is to provide financial assistance to alumni facing medical emergencies. In addition, it undertakes welfare and community-oriented initiatives that reflect the values of compassion, unity, and service that define the IIMC alumni fraternity.

Supporting IIMC Alumni Through Care & Solidarity

The IIMCAA Care Fund is a trust established by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication Alumni Association (IIMCAA) to support its alumni and contribute to society. Operating as an independent body, the Fund’s primary objective is to provide financial assistance to eligible alumni facing medical emergencies. In addition, the Fund undertakes welfare and community-oriented initiatives that uphold the values of compassion, unity, and service.

Our Objectives

The Care Fund exists to ensure timely support for alumni in critical situations and to enable initiatives that strengthen both the alumni community and society.

  • Medical emergency assistance: reimbursement-based support for documented hospitalisation (IPD) and medical emergencies.
  • Training & emerging skills: programmes to help alumni stay relevant in a changing media and communication landscape.
  • Community welfare: alumni-led initiatives supporting healthcare, learning and essential aid.
  • Disaster relief: support for impacted alumni and underprivileged communities, assessed case-by-case.

Medical Assistance Highlights

  • Reimbursement basis: advance payment is not provided.
  • Coverage: IPD / hospitalisation and documented medical emergencies (OPD not included).
  • Eligibility: annual income under ₹4,00,000 and no medical insurance.
  • Maximum support: up to ₹20,000 per applicant (as per guidelines).
Note: Trustees review applications monthly and may convene urgent meetings in exceptional cases. The Care Fund reserves the right to approve, reject, or request additional documents as needed.

How Support Requests Work

To request support, applicants should follow the process below:

Step 1: Prepare Documents Medical papers, hospital bills, discharge summary, proof of payment, and income documents (bank statement, ITR, salary slip/self-declaration).
Step 2: Get Recommendations Recommendation from three IIMCAA Members or one Lifetime Member (or a Chapter/Sub-Chapter resolution) sent from registered email.
Step 3: Email the Application Email all self-attested scanned documents to iimcaacare@gmail.com with a clear subject line (Name, Batch, Course, Campus, City).
