Financial Assistance for Medical Emergencies
Please read the operational guidelines and eligibility requirements below before submitting an application. Applications that do not comply with the specified requirements may be rejected.

Guidelines & Eligibility (Rules 1.1–1.12)
1.1 Eligibility (Medical Emergencies)
Financial assistance for media emergencies is extended to IIMC alumni who have successfully completed the Post Graduate Diploma course at IIMC and those who are have limited access to financial resources. To ensure that funds are allocated to the most eligible cases, the following inclusions and exclusions have been agreed upon. See 1.2 - 1.12 for inclusions, exclusions, eligibility and process of application.
1.2 Reimbursement Basis
Assistance is granted on a reimbursement basis. Advance financial assistance cannot be granted.
1.3 Coverage (IPD Only)
Claims may be made for expenses incurred for In-Patient Department (IPD) treatment and documented medical emergencies. Out-Patient Department (OPD) expenses are not included.
1.4 Insurance Exclusion
Applicants who have existing medical coverage from their employer or through any personal policy are ineligible for this financial assistance.
1.5 Recommendations Required
Applications must be supported by recommendations from either three registered Members of IIMCAA or one Lifetime Member of IIMCAA. Such recommendations should be sent by email to iimcaacare@gmail.com from the recommender’s registered email address. Resolutions passed by State Chapters or Sub-Chapters, duly recorded in official meeting minutes, will also suffice as endorsements.
1.6 Required Medical Documentation
- Doctor’s prescription
- Medical report(s)
- Hospital/medical bills
- Discharge summary
- Proof of payment to the hospital or medical service provider
1.7 Required Income Documentation
Only alumni with an annual income of less than INR 4,00,000 are eligible. Applicants must provide:
- Six months’ bank statement of the salary account (or account into which freelance/consultancy income is received)
- Previous year’s Income Tax Return
- Latest salary slip (if applicable)
- A self-declaration (duly signed) stating the annual income and confirming the absence of any medical insurance coverage
1.8 Email Subject Line
Email applications must include the subject line: “IIMCAA Care Fund Request – (Full Name, Batch, Course, Campus, and Current City)”.
1.9 Submission Method
All documents must be self-attested, scanned, and submitted electronically to iimcaacare@gmail.com.
1.10 Non-compliance
Applications that do not comply with Rules 1.5 to 1.9 shall be summarily rejected without obligation to provide reasons. It is the applicant’s sole responsibility to furnish all documents; the Trust is not required to obtain missing paperwork.
1.11 Maximum Assistance
The maximum assistance available under this provision is INR 20,000 per applicant. The Trust may also assist the applicant in initiating a crowdfunding campaign.
1.12 Final Decision & Disbursement
The final decision on the quantum of assistance shall rest with the IIMCAA Care Fund after due assessment of all submissions. Any additional documents or requirements are considered on a case-by-case basis. The approved sum will be disbursed via cheque in favour of the beneficiary.
