Nitin Pradhan
Chairman, IIMCAA Care Fund | President, Fortuna PR
Nitin Pradhan is a seasoned communication professional and IIMC alumnus, currently serving as the Chairman of the IIMCAA Care Fund, a trust dedicated to supporting Indian Institute of Mass Communication alumni and giving back to society through medical and social initiatives. He is also the President at Fortuna PR, a leading public relations and communications agency, a position he has held since February 2020.
With over 30 years of experience in journalism and public relations, Nitin began his career as a journalist and rose to become the National Bureau Chief at Dainik Jagran, one of India's largest media houses. His experience spans media relations, content strategy, and leadership roles in both agency and newsroom settings. Under his stewardship, Fortuna PR has developed strong expertise in reputation management, strategic communications, and media engagement.
Nitin Pradhan is recognised for his commitment to professional excellence and his contribution to building collaborative alumni platforms through IIMCAA. As Chairman of the Care Fund, he leads efforts to provide financial assistance to alumni during medical emergencies, fostering the values of solidarity and service within the alumni community.
Dr. Jaishri Jethwaney
Senior Advisor – Communications, ITSU, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare
Dr. Jaishri Jethwaney is a renowned communications scholar, author, and consultant, currently serving as Senior Advisor – Communications at the Immunisation Technical Support Unit, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. As Trustee of the IIMCAA Care Fund, she champions alumni and social welfare causes.
Holding a PhD in Media & Elections from JNU, Dr. Jethwaney has over 27 years’ experience as Professor and Program Director (Advertising and PR) at IIMC, New Delhi. Widely published, she has authored several key books on advertising, corporate communication, and media, and contributed to the SAGE Encyclopaedia of Corporate Reputation. Her research spans media wages, the portrayal of women in advertising, and more.
Dr. Jethwaney frequently consults for organisations including UNESCO, UNICEF, and WHO, and has delivered over 150 industry training programs, including for CEOs. Her dedication to education, policy, and social impact is recognised through awards and memberships on several university boards.
Simrat Gulati
Visiting Faculty & Consultant
Simrat Gulati is an accomplished academic and communications consultant, currently serving as a Trustee of the IIMCAA Care Fund. With over 25 years of experience in advertising, marketing, consumer behaviour, and mass communication, she is recognised for her contributions as a visiting faculty member at premier institutes including the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (since 2018), MCRC Jamia Millia Islamia (since 2009), and several other leading academic institutions across Delhi and India.
An alumna of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Simrat has taught and consulted at prestigious institutions such as ASCO, IIMM, Apeejay, SAIMC/SACAC, NBE, BVB, Delhi University, and IIPM among others. Her expertise spans marketing management, business planning, negotiation, and consumer insights. She has also contributed her professional skills as a PR & Communications Officer at HUDCO and a Research Associate at ORG, as well as working at Lintas in her early career.
Simrat Gulati is known for her engaging teaching style and commitment to student learning, focusing on real-world applications of advertising, marketing, and communications.
Gayatri Rath
International Markets Communications & Brand Lead, GE Aerospace | Author | Director, Saptasajya Foundation
Gayatri Rath is an accomplished corporate communications and branding leader, currently heading International Markets Communications and Brand at GE Aerospace. With over 25 years of experience, she has driven strategic campaigns for global brands including Microsoft, Oracle, GE, and Pine Labs, and served in senior roles at TBWA and Corporate Voice Weber Shandwick.
An alumna of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Gayatri is recognised for her expertise in corporate communications, crisis management, and brand leadership across technology, finance, and consumer sectors. She has led landmark initiatives as India Head of Corporate Communications at Microsoft, and in leadership roles at GE Capital and Oracle.
Gayatri is passionate about social impact, directing digital literacy and artisan empowerment initiatives at Saptasajya Foundation, and advancing workplace diversity with IAWA India Wing. She is co-author of ‘A Question of Trust’ (Pan Macmillan), and has led high-profile book campaigns such as Satya Nadella’s ‘Hit Refresh’.
As Trustee of the IIMCAA Care Fund, Gayatri leverages her communications and social responsibility acumen to strengthen the Fund’s philanthropic mission and alumni support.
Prasad Sanyal
Business Head, Times Internet | Former Chief Content Officer, Group Editor
Prasad Sanyal is a senior digital media strategist, currently serving as Business Head at Times Internet, where he leads innovation and audience engagement for one of India’s largest digital publishing arms. With over two decades of experience, Prasad has held prominent roles in major news organisations including Chief Content Officer at HT Digital Streams, and Group Editor at Zee Media Corporation Limited, shaping the editorial and digital vision for brands such as Zee News, WION, DNA, India.com, and more.
Having started his career as a reporter and producer at Asian News International (ANI), Prasad has contributed to teams at CNN-IBN, NDTV, NewsX, and timesofindia.com, spanning reporting, editorial management, and strategic leadership. His expertise covers digital publishing, content strategy, online journalism, and transformation of newsrooms for the digital era.
Prasad combines his analytical skills, editorial wisdom, and management acumen to champion innovation while preserving journalistic integrity. Through his work with the IIMCAA Care Fund, he furthers the cause of alumni welfare, philanthropy, and community engagement.
Animesh Biswas
Secretary, IIMCAA Care Fund | PR Manager – Growth Markets, HCLSoftware
Animesh Biswas is a seasoned communications specialist with 19 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, event management, and sports journalism. As PR Lead for Asia-Pacific, Japan, Middle East, Africa, and India at HCLSoftware, he oversees impactful PR strategies across multiple sectors.
Beginning his career as a sub-editor and sports reporter for major dailies, Animesh gained expertise in writing and editorial management, and contributed to the 2010 Commonwealth Games and Hindustan Football Club as team manager. Transitioning into public relations, he has managed high-profile campaigns for leading global brands and held senior agency roles at Weber Shandwick, Adfactors PR, Concept PR, and Zzebra PR. Notably, he served as PR Manager for the Rajasthan Royals during a pivotal period.
A co-founder of the IIMC Alumni Association, Animesh is renowned for strategic storytelling, relationship-building, and mentoring upcoming professionals. He is committed to supporting the IIMCAA Care Fund’s alumni and community initiatives, promoting innovation, collaboration, and personal networking in communications.
Ritesh Kumar Verma
Editor – New Initiatives, HT Digital Streams
Ritesh Kumar Verma is an experienced digital media editor and journalist, currently serving as Editor – New Initiatives at HT Digital Streams in New Delhi, where he leads editorial management, digital strategy, and innovation for online content. With over 20 years in journalism and broadcasting, he has worked in diverse editorial and production roles across renowned national media houses.
Prior to joining HT Digital Streams in 2019, Ritesh was Associate Executive Producer at INDIA News, where he managed web operations for India News’ Website (Inkhabar), and previously held senior editorial positions with Sahara Samay, STAR News, Aaj Samaj, and Dainik Bhaskar. He began his career at Dainik Jagran, one of India’s largest Hindi dailies, serving nearly five years as Assistant Head, Modem Office.
As an active member and co-founder of the IIMC Alumni Association, he brings deep knowledge of news media, content curation, and digital transformation to his role as Trustee of the IIMCAA Care Fund.
